As Movers for America continues to expand its mission to better serve military families and support the moving professionals who serve them, MFA is proud to announce the formation of a new National Ambassador Network. This network is designed to elevate industry voices, strengthen relationships with policymakers and military families, and advance policies that improve the Permanent Change of Station moving experience.
If interested, reach out to MFA Executive Director Katie McMichael at [email protected].
MFA Ambassadors play a central role in advancing MFA’s legislative and regulatory priorities through coordinated grassroots engagement.
Under the guidance of MFA’s Executive Director, ambassadors will help build and strengthen relationships with members of Congress and their staffs, mobilize industry stakeholders to support MFA initiatives, host site visits and briefings for government officials, and serve as regional leaders driving advocacy efforts forward. Together, these ambassadors will help ensure that the real-world experiences of moving professionals are effectively communicated to policymakers and translated into meaningful improvements for military families.
To advance policies that best serve all professionals who service military household shipments, moving professionals at all levels of experience and roles within the industry are encouraged to express interest.
What we are looking for in an ambassador:
- Professionals who reside and work in the identified region.
- Interest in establishing ongoing relationships with U.S. Senators and Congressional Representatives in your area.
- Energy to engage peers and stakeholders in ongoing grassroots efforts.
- Willingness to share personal stories, participate in media inquiries, and advocate for MFA priorities.
- Availability to travel to DC for in-person meetings with legislators and other relevant Agency officials.
