Major: WEEKLY Fuel Surcharge Guidance from PPA

Email Update | April 2, 2026

Things have been moving fast amid the Iran conflict, and the PPA has been keeping pace and rapidly responding for the industry and military families.

Today, the PPA activated a WEEKLY Fuel Surcharge cost adjustment to take effect on April 5. This is a major win for movers, drivers, and contractors across the industry.

Until now, fuel reimbursements were updated monthly, lagging behind real-time price swings and putting pressure on operations. Industry raised the concern, and the PPA responded with a fix that reflects what’s actually happening on the ground.

This shift means faster alignment with real fuel costs, and more immediate relief for crews managing tight margins

This kind of timely response hasn’t been something we’ve been used to, and we’re loving this new action-oriented leadership.

MFA Executive Director Katie McMichael had a great call with the PPA today following the advisory. Their interest in industry collaboration is exactly what this program has needed.
