Movers for America welcomes policy expert Katie McMichael to the team!
We are pleased to announce that Katie McMichael has joined Movers for America, bringing considerable policy and moving and storage industry experience. She served as the Executive Director of the American Trucking Association’s (ATA) Moving and Storage Conference, overseeing the creation of the Moving and Storage Conference in August 2020. Prior to joining ATA, Katie served as director of government affairs for the American Moving and Storage Association where she worked as the head lobbyist responsible for educating and increasing the presence of the household goods industry with Hill staff and legislators, and directed grassroots efforts within the association. She has also held positions with Aurora Innovations, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, and Congressman John L Mica.
Katie will help to raise the profile of MFA on the Hill and ensure our U.S. elected officials and leaders have a better understanding of what the GHC will mean for American businesses and military families.
