Seems like it’s a chaotic time for everyone, especially for the Top Dogs of the GHC. It would be an entertaining movie – major execs being released, the thrill of a ticking clock, mysteries and misdirection – if it wasn’t happening on the taxpayers’ tab and risking quality services for military families.
So, where exactly are we with the GHC? Let’s set the scene:
- A house cleaning where multiple GHC executives have reportedly been let go.
- An empty calendar after the upcoming DP3 International Industry Provider Conference was postponed – or canceled?
- A missing roadmap of how the industry is supposed to comply with the Service Contract Act, and no one to provide directions.
- Potentially missing persons – the GHC says they have the needed capacity, but where are they?
- More and more time ticking off the clock, with only more delays on the horizon.
- Muddy water filled with numbers and assumptions that just don’t seem to add up.
- And if the rumors are true…. Dwindling funds for the whole production that may be gone before Spring.
If it seems like a doomed quest, maybe it is…? Maybe TRANSCOM is on the wrong path that doesn’t lead to better services for military families nor economic feasibility for American businesses.
But if there’s a secret pathway that hasn’t been revealed yet, TRANSCOM and others are being very tight-lipped. We’re hoping the Government Accountability Office and Congressional leaders can help us find the way.
